About Me

Hello! My name is Amanda Rosson, and I am a senior at FSU majoring in Retail Merchandising and Product Development and minoring in Business and Communications.

I consider myself pretty active on campus. I recently became one of the new Student Liaisons for the Collegiate Merchandising Association and am the Historian for Fashion, Inc. I also write for the CLUTCH blog. Aside from fashion organizations, I’m also very active in my co-ed service fraternity, Alpha Phi Omega. I served as Fall 2010’s Historian, and was just elected as Recording Secretary for the Spring.

Fashion is not something I’ve always appreciated or even cared about. Looking back at old pictures of myself, I often wonder “what was I thinking?!” I’ve probably tried just about every style from surfer to punk to prep to boho and everything in between. My style is still constantly changing but I’ve definitely figured out a lot more about myself fashion-wise over the years. For one, I’ve learned what works with my petite frame and what doesn’t. I’ve also learned what colors to embrace and what to stay away from. I’ve also gained plenty of inspiration by looking at magazines and various celebrities. Here's a little more info about me:

Must-have look for spring: LOTS of colorful sundresses and wedge sandals

Favorite designer? Alexander McQueen, Monique Lhullier, Chanel, Zac Posen 
Favorite current trend? Sequins and Military Jackets 
Can't live without? My iPhone and Elizabeth Arden 8-hour cream
Fashion inspirations & why? Rachel Bilson, first and foremost. I adore this girl! She always looks cute and trendy and rarely makes a mistake when it comes to fashion. I often look to her for style inspiration because we have similar frames, so I know if she can pull it off, so can I. Also, Nina Dobrev and Selena Gomez, for the same reason. They are all flawless.

Fashion & Favorites was started in December 2010 as a place for me to share and write about my many interests and obsessions from fashion and shopping to the rest of my “favorite” things such as movies, tv, music, cooking, and more!
